Marathon Digital Holdings, the world's largest Bitcoin mining company, has launched a pilot project in Finland that uses recycled heat from Bitcoin mining to warm the homes of over 11,000 residents. The 2-megawatt project, located in the Satakunte region, employs a district heating method to centrally heat water and distribute it through underground pipes.
