Backing from YZi Labs and support from CZ have fueled its rise.
Daily Fees and Volume Surge
Aster has become the top decentralized perpetuals exchange by daily fees, generating over $25 million in 24 hours according to DefiLlama. The platform also saw $42 billion in trading volume, far surpassing rivals like Hyperliquid and Lighter.
Growth Fueled by Token Launch and Support
Aster’s rise began after its token launch on September 17, which drove strong investor interest. The buzz was amplified by Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao, who endorsed the platform on X and confirmed that YZi Labs, formerly Binance Labs, holds a minority stake.
Platform Differentiation
While Aster supports high leverage and multi-chain trading like competitors, its standout feature is “hidden orders,” which let traders place invisible limit orders. This contrasts with the transparent order books common across most on-chain perpetual DEXs.
