A Large Purchase During a Market Decline
CEA Industries, a Nasdaq listed digital asset treasury operating under ticker BNC, has added more than 13 million dollars worth of BNB to its holdings. The company purchased over 15,000 new tokens, raising its total to 515,054 BNB.
BNB has fallen sharply in recent weeks, dropping 20 percent to around 872 dollars as part of a broader market pullback affecting major assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
A Long Term Accumulation Strategy
CEA Industries raised 500 million dollars earlier this year to buy BNB as its primary reserve asset. The company describes its approach as both disciplined and opportunistic, adding to its holdings when market conditions align with its strategy.
The firm also pointed to industry wide pressures, noting declines in other digital asset treasuries, lower premiums, and challenges tied to convertible debt.
Positioning as a Leading BNB Treasury
The company has tried to distinguish itself by focusing specifically on BNB, a token originally created for Binance but now widely used across multiple blockchain applications.
Supporters of CEA include YZi Labs, the family office tied to former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao. Shares of BNC traded slightly higher on Wednesday after the announcement.
Building Reserves Despite Market Volatility
CEA’s steady accumulation suggests confidence in BNB’s long term value, even as market sentiment remains cautious.
