Circle is rolling out USDC directly on Hyperliquid’s HyperEVM and HyperCore.

The move follows Hyperliquid’s USDH stablecoin issuer selection.

Circle also invested in HYPE and may become a validator.
Expanding stablecoin presence
Circle announced it is launching a native version of USDC on Hyperliquid, the leading decentralized derivatives platform. The rollout starts on HyperEVM and will later extend to HyperCore, boosting stablecoin liquidity for DeFi traders.
Competition with USDH
This launch follows Hyperliquid’s decision to appoint Native Markets to issue its own stablecoin, USDH. Circle confirmed that USDC will continue to serve as a key quote asset on the platform, with strong reserves and compliance guarantees.
Cross-chain expansion
Circle is also integrating its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol v2, making it easier for users to move USDC across dozens of networks. CEO Jeremy Allaire said the company is working on incentive programs and exploring a role as a Hyperliquid validator.
Why it matters
USDC already circulates on 20+ blockchains and has over $73 billion supply. Adding Hyperliquid strengthens its reach in derivatives, where monthly trading volumes now exceed $150 billion.
