Chainlink ETF Completes Conversion and Begins Trading
Grayscale’s Chainlink Trust has officially converted into an ETF and started trading on NYSE Arca as GLNK, becoming the first U.S. exchange traded product tied to Chainlink. The firm said Chainlink was an obvious choice due to its longstanding role as core oracle infrastructure for smart contract systems.
Trading volume surpassed 1.17 million shares on launch day, far above typical levels, signaling strong initial demand and active price discovery.
Regulatory Pathway Opened During Shutdown
Grayscale said the ETF became possible thanks to SEC guidance provided at the start of this year’s U.S. government shutdown, which allowed pending filings to move forward under a 20 day automatic effectiveness window. Updated listing standards approved in September further accelerated the listing.
Growing U.S. Momentum for Altcoin ETFs
The launch follows a wave of new ETFs across Dogecoin, XRP, Solana, and Litecoin. Grayscale has been steadily converting closed end trusts into ETFs as the regulatory environment becomes more defined.
