Key Highlights:
  • Hyperliquid will introduce permissionless deployment for HIP-4 outcome markets.
  • Developers must stake 500,000 HYPE to launch new markets.
  • The upgrade aims to significantly expand the platform's prediction market ecosystem.

Hyperliquid announced that a future network upgrade will allow developers to permissionlessly launch prediction markets through its HIP-4 framework.

Instead of requiring validator approval for every individual market, validators will approve standardized market templates that developers can use to deploy their own outcome markets.

To participate, developers must stake 500,000 HYPE. The stake can be partially or fully slashed if markets are poorly defined, settled incorrectly, or remain unresolved beyond the allowed timeframe.

Each deployer will initially receive capacity for 100 outcomes, with additional allocation expected through a future auction system.

The feature will first launch on testnet before moving to mainnet as Hyperliquid continues expanding its onchain prediction market offering.
