Kraken Launch will host token sales curated by Legion.

Sales will follow MiCA compliance and list directly on Kraken.
New token sales model
Kraken has partnered with Legion, an ICO platform backed by the exchange, to host MiCA-compliant token offerings on its new Launch platform. Tokens from these offerings will be listed on Kraken shortly after sales conclude.
IPO-style standards
Legion claims to be crypto’s “first ICO underwriter,” bringing IPO-like rigor to token distribution. Its model covers pricing, compliance, research, and liquidity support. Co-founder Matt O’Connor said the goal is to prioritize high-quality projects over volume.
Sale mechanics
Most sales will be run jointly on Kraken and Legion, with up to 20% of allocations reserved for Legion Score holders and the rest available on a first-come basis. Kraken will also conduct its own compliance and due diligence in addition to Legion’s review.
Industry positioning
Legion competes with launchpads like Echo and BuidlPad but differentiates itself through its underwriting approach. Kraken Launch is expected to strengthen Kraken’s retail offering as the exchange prepares for a possible public listing in 2026.
Revenue model
Both companies will share transaction fees from sales, while Kraken benefits from trading fees on new listings. The first joint token sale is expected to be announced within a week.
