Ripple Expands Institutional Services in the U.S.

Ripple has unveiled a new prime brokerage platform offering institutional clients access to spot and OTC trading across a wide range of crypto assets, including XRP and Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin.

Building on Hidden Road Acquisition

The move follows Ripple’s $1.25 billion purchase of Hidden Road, a broker specializing in multi-asset execution and clearing. The merger integrates licenses and infrastructure under Ripple Prime, creating a unified platform for trading across crypto, forex, derivatives, and fixed income markets.

Bridging Traditional and Crypto Finance

Ripple said U.S. institutions can now cross-margin spot transactions with their blockchain portfolios, connecting crypto with CME-listed derivatives and traditional financial products.

Expansion and Political Backing

This year, Ripple also acquired GTreasury for $1 billion to expand its reach into corporate finance, while CEO Brad Garlinghouse noted that the Trump administration’s regulatory climate has helped drive expansion. Ripple remains politically active, joining other crypto firms in supporting pro-innovation policies in Washington.
