Japan's SBI Holdings has partnered with Ondo Finance to bring Japanese equities onto blockchain networks, further expanding the company's growing digital asset ecosystem.

The partnership will use Ondo Global Markets to tokenize Japanese stocks while distributing investment products across SBI's financial network. SBI's recently launched JPYSC stablecoin will also be used for settlement and collateral within the platform.

The agreement builds on several recent blockchain initiatives by SBI, including the launch of Japan's first trust bank-backed yen stablecoin, investments in major crypto companies, and partnerships focused on tokenized financial markets.

As tokenized equities continue to gain traction worldwide, the collaboration aims to connect Japan's capital markets with the growing global market for blockchain-based financial assets.
