Members include Solana, Fireblocks, Polygon, Stellar, and TON.

The goal: standardize stablecoin payments across chains.
A Unified Standard for Blockchain Payments
Seven leading blockchain organizations — including Solana Foundation, Fireblocks, Polygon Labs, Stellar Development Foundation, TON Foundation, Monad Foundation, and Mysten Labs — have joined forces to form the Blockchain Payments Consortium (BPC).
Building a Global Payment Framework
The consortium aims to define technical and compliance standards to make cross-chain stablecoin transactions as seamless as traditional payments. The members noted that onchain payments reached nearly $20 trillion in 2024, surpassing Visa and Mastercard combined.
Industry Momentum and Regulatory Support
With growing U.S. regulatory clarity around stablecoins, traditional banks and payment firms are exploring blockchain settlement rails. Fireblocks’ Ran Goldi said payments are “at the forefront of mainstream blockchain adoption.”
Toward a Borderless Digital Economy
According to TON’s Nikola Plecas, the consortium will help unify fragmented blockchain systems and “lay the foundation for a trusted, borderless digital payment network” accessible to institutions and users worldwide.
