Stablecoins for Regional Commerce

The TON Foundation has partnered with Banxa to bring stablecoin payment processing to small and medium-sized enterprises across the Asia-Pacific region.

The collaboration combines Banxa’s global fiat-to-crypto network with TON’s blockchain infrastructure. The goal is to enable business-to-business settlements, consumer payments, and cross-border transfers using stablecoins settled on TON.

Banxa operates across major financial regions, including APAC, Europe, the U.S., and Latin America, which expands TON’s commercial reach.

Telegram and Merchant Adoption

The partnership follows the recent launch of TON Pay, a payment software kit that allows Telegram Mini Apps to accept Toncoin and USDT directly. With average transaction fees below one cent and near-instant settlement, TON is positioning itself as a payments layer for Telegram’s 1.1 billion monthly users.

The move reflects a broader push to anchor blockchain infrastructure in real-world merchant use rather than purely speculative trading activity.
