Key Highlights:
  • Uniswap now allows users to connect Solana wallets and trade SOL directly from its web app.

  • The integration aims to reduce DeFi fragmentation between Solana and Ethereum ecosystems.

  • Future updates will include bridging, cross-chain swaps, and full wallet support.

Expanding Access to Solana Users

Uniswap has officially integrated Solana support into its web app, allowing users to connect their Solana wallets and swap SOL tokens directly within the platform. The move makes Uniswap one of the first major Ethereum-based DeFi apps to bring Solana into its user interface.

Previously, traders had to use separate platforms for Solana-based swaps. Now, Uniswap users can access tokens across Ethereum, Solana, Unichain, and Base without leaving the app.

Solving Fragmentation in DeFi

Uniswap said the update is part of its effort to bridge the divide between blockchain ecosystems. “Fragmentation makes DeFi harder than it should be. It adds friction for experienced users and raises the barrier for beginners,” the company wrote in its announcement.

More Features Coming Soon

The Solana integration is the first step in a broader cross-chain plan. Future releases will include bridging features, cross-chain swaps, and full support for the Uniswap Wallet. With over $10.9 billion in total value locked, Solana’s inclusion gives Uniswap exposure to one of DeFi’s fastest-growing networks.
