Uniswap Introduces Compact v1
Uniswap Labs has unveiled Compact v1, a new system designed to solve liquidity fragmentation across different blockchains. Built on ERC-6909 standards, the protocol creates reusable “resource locks” to manage assets securely across chains.
How It Works
Sponsors deposit tokens into the contract to generate Resource Locks, which can back multiple commitments under specific conditions. Components like Allocators, Arbiters, and Tribunal ensure resources are allocated, verified, and settled securely across environments.
Adoption and Use Cases
Compact v1 will power UniswapX cross-chain swaps and has already attracted adopters including LI.FI and Rhinestone. By standardizing cross-chain commitments, it addresses one of the biggest challenges facing decentralized applications.
Security and Future Integration
The system has undergone independent reviews from OpenZeppelin and Spearbit, with full audit reports expected. Compact v1 is also being integrated into Uniswap’s bug bounty program as part of efforts to secure broader adoption.
