New Tokenization Plans

World Liberty Financial, backed by Donald Trump Jr. and CEO Zack Witkoff, is moving into real-world asset tokenization. Speaking at Token2049 in Singapore, Witkoff confirmed that the company is already working on tokenizing commodities ranging from energy products to agricultural goods.

The goal is to have these tokens paired with the USD1 stablecoin, which Witkoff described as the most reliable settlement layer for asset-backed trading.

Stablecoin Growth

Since launch, USD1 has grown into the fifth-largest stablecoin globally with $2.7 billion in circulation. Alongside USD1, the project also issued WLFI, a governance token described as “the voice of the people.” USD1 recently expanded to Aptos, making it the first Move-based blockchain to support the token.

Expanding Ecosystem

Beyond tokenization, World Liberty Financial is preparing to roll out a debit card and a mobile wallet app, expected by early 2026. These products aim to give users seamless access to stablecoin payments in everyday transactions.

Global Ambitions

Donald Trump Jr. stressed that the initiative is not political but designed for global adoption: “We want this to be for the world, not just the U.S.” Witkoff added that dollarizing finance globally is both a patriotic and practical mission, underlining their belief that tokenized real assets paired with stablecoins could redefine cross-border trade.
