Ignite program introduces liquidity incentives

ZKsync has launched the Ignite program, allocating 300 million ZK tokens ($60 million) over nine months to boost liquidity on its Layer 2 network.

Targeting key DeFi platforms

The program supports liquidity provision on platforms like Uniswap, SyncSwap, and Aave. The first season, running until March 2025, will distribute 100 million tokens.

Significant surge in TVL

ZKsync’s total value locked (TVL) soared nearly 90%, from $97 million to $184 million, within days of Ignite’s launch, per DeFiLlama data.

Rebuilding post-airdrop activity

Following a sharp decline in engagement after its 2024 airdrop, ZKsync aims to attract long-term liquidity and regain momentum in the Layer 2 ecosystem. ZKsync’s Ignite program reflects its strategic focus on revitalizing its network and solidifying its position in Ethereum’s DeFi landscape.
