AI.com will debut as a consumer AI agent platform during the Super Bowl
A Record-Breaking Domain Deal
Kris Marszalek, co-founder and CEO of Crypto.com, has acquired the AI.com domain for approximately $70 million, paid entirely in cryptocurrency.
The purchase, completed in April 2025, is believed to be the largest publicly disclosed domain sale in history, surpassing previous record transactions such as CarInsurance.com and Chat.com.
AI Agents for Everyday Tasks
Marszalek plans to launch a consumer-facing AI agent platform under the AI.com brand, with its public debut timed around a Super Bowl LX commercial. The platform will allow users to create personal AI agents capable of sending messages, executing actions across apps, trading stocks, and building projects.
User data will be encrypted with individual keys, according to the company, positioning the platform as privacy-focused.
A Familiar Branding Strategy
The move mirrors Marszalek’s earlier branding strategy with Crypto.com, which rebranded from Monaco after acquiring the Crypto.com domain. The company later secured naming rights for the Crypto.com Arena and ran high-profile marketing campaigns, including a $100 million Super Bowl ad.
Marszalek said he has received numerous offers to resell AI.com but plans to keep the domain and build the platform long term.
