Buying the Dip

Bitcoin mining firm MARA Holdings purchased 400 BTC for $46.29 million from liquidity provider FalconX after Friday’s historic liquidation event. The move increased MARA’s total holdings to more than 53,000 BTC.

Bitcoin’s price has since recovered to around $114,700 after plummeting below $106,000 during the crash. Analysts say the firm is betting that the sell-off was a short-term panic rather than the start of a downtrend.

Analysts See Renewed Confidence

“This was the largest liquidation event we’ve ever seen, but the market bounced back quickly,” said Pav Hundal, lead analyst at Swyftx. “MARA is taking a calculated call that Bitcoin has more room to run.”

He added that Trump’s softened stance on tariffs and expectations of global monetary easing could help fuel another Bitcoin rally.
