Massive BTC Transfer Signals Exit
On Monday night, a crypto wallet linked to a dormant whale transferred 20,000 BTC—worth approximately $2.34 billion—to Galaxy Digital in a series of seven transactions, according to Nansen.
Onchain Lens identified the address as belonging to the same 2011-era miner who moved 80,000 BTC last week after 14 years of inactivity.
Capitalizing on Market Highs
This marks the wallet’s first historical cash-out and suggests the whale is taking advantage of Bitcoin’s recent all-time highs. BTC briefly exceeded $123,000 on Monday before sliding to $117,600.
The whale’s use of Galaxy Digital indicates a professional liquidation strategy, likely executed through institutional-grade OTC channels amid strong market demand.
