Robinhood’s Plans to Launch Bitcoin and Ether Futures

Robinhood has confirmed its plan to offer bitcoin and ether futures trading on its platform, expanding its existing cryptocurrency options. The announcement, made at the HOOD Summit, marks a new phase for Robinhood, as it aims to cater to customers interested in advanced trading tools, including S&P 500 and oil futures.

Further Growth in Crypto Offerings

In July, Bloomberg reported that Robinhood might introduce CME-based bitcoin and ether futures in the U.S., leveraging licenses from Bitstamp to provide similar services in Europe. Robinhood’s recent developments underscore its commitment to broadening crypto offerings, despite its recent challenges with the SEC, which issued a Wells notice to its crypto division earlier this year.

Robinhood Legend Desktop Platform Launch

Alongside futures products, Robinhood also launched its customizable desktop trading platform, “Robinhood Legend,” aimed at experienced traders. The addition of these features reflects Robinhood’s ambition to position itself as a comprehensive platform for active traders looking for greater control over their investments.
