Prediction markets enter the Binance ecosystem
Binance is beta-testing a new feature that allows users to trade on real-world events directly within its wallet. The integration is powered by Predict.Fun, a protocol built on BNB Smart Chain.
Users will be able to take positions on outcomes such as elections, sports, and cultural events, with each outcome priced between $0.01 and $0.99 based on probability.
Separate accounts and onchain integration
To use the feature, users must create a dedicated prediction account separate from their regular spot trading account. This setup aims to isolate risk and structure the offering more clearly.
The feature is being rolled out through third-party infrastructure, signaling Binance’s approach of integrating rather than building everything in-house.
A fast-growing but controversial sector
Prediction markets have seen rapid growth, now exceeding $20 billion in monthly volume. However, they are also facing regulatory scrutiny, especially in the U.S., where lawmakers are pushing to limit certain types of contracts.
Binance’s move shows that despite the regulatory pressure, major platforms see strong demand in this emerging category.
