Introducing Circle’s New Economic Operating System
Circle has launched the public testnet for Arc, a Layer 1 blockchain designed for large-scale financial applications and tokenized assets. The platform aims to connect local economies to the global onchain ecosystem and features predictable dollar-based fees and sub-second transactions.
Institutional Momentum Builds
More than 100 major firms are already testing Arc, including BlackRock, Visa, AWS, State Street, Deutsche Bank, and Goldman Sachs. CEO Jeremy Allaire described Arc as a “defining infrastructure layer” for digital finance.
Enterprise Use Cases and Stablecoin Integration
Arc integrates directly with Circle’s platform, supporting real-time payments, capital markets, and AI-powered settlement systems. It also enables fiat-backed token issuance, with stablecoins like JPYC, BRLA, and QCAD joining the testnet.
Developer and Cross-Chain Support
Arc’s ecosystem features integrations with Chainlink, LayerZero, Wormhole, Coinbase, and MetaMask. The network is also collaborating with Anthropic to enhance developer tools via AI. Circle plans to expand validator participation and governance before full mainnet launch.
