Reviving Public Token Sales for U.S. Users

Coinbase has introduced a new public token sales platform enabling retail investors, including those in the U.S., to participate in token launches. The exchange last allowed public ICO-style sales in 2018 before regulatory crackdowns halted the practice.

Coinbase said the platform aims to promote fairer access by using a “filling up from the bottom” allocation algorithm, favoring smaller buyers and penalizing short-term sellers. Issuers must disclose full tokenomics, team details, and risk factors before listing.
