Phantom Brings Prediction Markets On-Chain
Phantom, one of the most popular web3 wallets, has integrated Kalshi's prediction markets, allowing users to discover, track, and trade tokenized positions tied to real-world events directly inside the app. This new feature, called Phantom Prediction Markets, simplifies the process: opening a position is described as being "as simple as swapping a token." Users can purchase these tokenized positions using either Solana (SOL) or Phantom’s native CASH stablecoin, eliminating the need to move funds or create separate accounts.
Access to Regulated Real-World Events
The integration provides access to Kalshi’s markets, which span politics, crypto, sports, and culture. Kalshi is unique because it operates under the oversight of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), ensuring its markets are based on clearly defined and objectively resolvable outcomes. This regulatory backing adds a layer of trust to the event-based trading. The feature also includes real-time odds, live community chat for tracking sentiment, and notifications when positions settle.
Driving New Growth Channels
The integration is mutually beneficial. It enhances Phantom’s existing suite of tools, which already includes token swaps and perpetual futures trading. For Kalshi, whose trading volumes have grown rapidly to $5.8 billion last month, the partnership opens a significant new channel for growth by bringing its markets to millions of crypto-native users. This follows a trend of Kalshi integrations with major platforms, including Google Finance, the National Hockey League, CNN, CNBC, and a highly successful integration with Robinhood.
