Robinhood has begun launching cryptocurrency trading for UK customers through Bitstamp, allowing users to buy and sell more than 50 digital assets directly inside its main investing app.

The move brings crypto alongside Robinhood’s existing stock, ISA, options, and futures products, creating a single platform for UK investors. The service will initially launch with zero trading fees, no account maintenance fees, and no custody fees, although users will pay foreign exchange fees on certain conversions.

Available assets include major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and HYPE. Trading services are provided through Bitstamp UK, which is registered with the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

Robinhood also introduced Cortex Digests for Crypto, an AI-powered feature that analyzes market data, news, and technical indicators to explain price movements and provide additional context for investors.

Beyond the app rollout, Robinhood highlighted growth across its crypto ecosystem, including Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based Layer 2 network that has processed more than $18 billion in decentralized exchange volume and surpassed $840 million in total value locked.

The UK crypto expansion follows Robinhood’s recent growth beyond traditional trading. In Q2, the company generated $100 million in crypto transaction revenue, while prediction markets revenue reached $156 million, surpassing crypto for the first time.
