Strong Early Developer Activity

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said the company’s Ethereum Layer 2 testnet recorded four million transactions in its first week.

Built on Arbitrum, Robinhood Chain is designed for tokenized equities, ETFs, and other real-world assets. The network underwent six months of private testing before going public.

Infrastructure partners include Alchemy, LayerZero, and Chainlink.

Tokenization Push Continues

Robinhood’s crypto revenue fell 38% year-over-year in Q4, but the company is doubling down on tokenization. Plans include 24/7 stock trading, near-real-time settlement, and self-custody.

Tenev has described tokenization as inevitable. The strong testnet activity may reinforce Robinhood’s strategy to integrate traditional financial products directly onchain ahead of a mainnet launch later this year.
