Ethereum Targets December 3 for Fusaka Launch
Ethereum developers have officially scheduled December 3, 2025, as the activation date for the long-awaited Fusaka upgrade, confirmed during an All Core Devs call on Thursday. The upgrade follows successful testnet deployments on Holesky, Sepolia, and most recently, Hoodi.
Key Upgrades and Improvements
The Fusaka hard fork will implement around a dozen EIPs focused on improving scalability and efficiency. The highlight feature, Peer Data Availability Sampling (PeerDAS), enables validators to process data more efficiently and was originally planned for February’s Pectra upgrade.
Boosting Network Capacity
Fusaka will increase the block gas limit from 30 million to 150 million units and is expected to double blob capacity, allowing more transactions per block. The Ethereum Foundation also launched a $2 million bug bounty contest to ensure network security before the upgrade goes live.
