Latency-Focused Blockchain Design
MegaETH launched its mainnet with over 50 live applications, positioning itself as a “real-time blockchain” built to minimize latency rather than maximize decentralization metrics.
The network claims it can process up to 50,000 transactions per second with block times of just 10 milliseconds by keeping critical state data in memory using its SALT architecture.
Backed by Major Crypto Figures
Founded in 2022, MegaETH previously raised $20 million in seed funding led by Dragonfly Capital, with participation from Vitalik Buterin and Joseph Lubin.
The project also completed an oversubscribed public token sale in October 2025, raising $1.39 billion in commitments.
Token Launch Tied to Usage
Rather than launching its MEGA token immediately, MegaETH tied issuance to real network adoption metrics. The token will go live after meeting one of three KPIs, including sustained stablecoin supply, active applications, or daily fee generation thresholds.
The token will be used for sequencer proximity access and buybacks funded by stablecoin yield.
