Structured Security Layer for Solana Projects

The Solana Foundation has introduced a new security framework called STRIDE, short for Solana Trust, Resilience and Infrastructure for DeFi Enterprises. The program is designed to continuously evaluate and monitor the security of projects building on Solana.

Security firm Asymmetric Research will lead independent assessments using its own framework. Results will be made public, giving users and investors clearer visibility into protocol risk.

Incentives for Large Protocols

Projects with more than $10 million in total value locked that pass STRIDE checks will receive ongoing monitoring and operational security support. Larger protocols above $100 million TVL will also gain access to advanced smart contract verification tools.

This creates a tiered system where the most systemically important projects receive deeper protection.

New Incident Response Network

Alongside STRIDE, Solana launched the Solana Incident Response Network. This connects security firms like Asymmetric, OtterSec, and Neodyme into a coordinated response system for threats and exploits.

While the foundation is increasing support, it made clear that security responsibility still lies with individual teams. The goal is to strengthen the ecosystem, not centralize risk management.
