Pump.Fun, a Solana token issuer, is making waves as it approaches 1 million SOL tokens in lifetime fees. Since its launch in March, the platform has quickly become a go-to for meme coin creators, especially those focusing on AI-themed tokens.
Growing User Base and Token Launches
Pump.Fun's data reveals that over 85,000 active addresses have engaged with the platform, with 37,000 of those being new wallets. In the last 24 hours alone, the platform has processed the issuance of 7,500 tokens, with 5,550 addresses actively participating. On Monday, a record-breaking 31,000 tokens were launched, driven by a renewed speculative frenzy in AI-themed memecoins.Pump.Fun's Profitability
Pump.Fun allows users to create a token for less than $2, after which users can select the number of tokens, themes, and even accompanying memes. Once a token’s market capitalization reaches $69,000, a portion of the liquidity is locked in Raydium and burned. Despite its low entry costs, Pump.Fun has proven to be extremely profitable. In fact, the platform has generated over $147 million since its inception. Lookonchain data shows that a fee account connected to Pump.Fun sold over $6 million worth of SOL on Monday, bringing its lifetime sales to 500,000 SOL, or approximately $78 million.Expansion Beyond Solana
While Pump.Fun has primarily been used to mint tokens on the Solana blockchain, it has also expanded its offerings to other networks such as Base and Blast. Despite its rapid growth, the platform’s success is most evident on Solana, where it continues to dominate the token issuance space.
