OpenSea has launched its upgraded platform, OS2, featuring a redesigned interface and an innovative experience points (XP) system. This marks a strategic effort to enhance user engagement and reclaim its market leadership in the NFT space.
Gemesis NFT Access
OS2 is currently in private beta, granting priority access to holders of Gemesis NFTs. OpenSea airdropped these NFTs in 2023 during its acquisition and rebranding of the NFT platform Gem into OpenSea Pro. A snapshot of 49,785 eligible wallets was taken to ensure streamlined early access.Experience Points System
The XP system incentivizes activities such as listing items, making offers, and submitting developer feedback. While OpenSea has not confirmed token rewards for XP accumulation, speculation abounds regarding potential future benefits.Competing with Blur
